Microsoft and Mojang Studios announced today that Minecraft Xbox One Edition will be releasing this Friday on September 5th, 2014. The game will cost $19.99 and features worlds that are 36 times larger than the Xbox 360 version, and will offer four-player spit-screen.

For players that own the Xbox 360 version of the game, they can upgrade their accounts and saves to Xbox One for $4.99, however gamers must either own the retail copy or digital version that can connect to Xbox Live.  The game had been announced at E3 2013 for Xbox One, PS4, and PS Vita.

No release dates have been confirmed for the PS4 or PS Vita, but don’t expect to wait too long.
