Minecraft has long been a PC phenomenon but has since been released on the Xbox 360. As any Minecraft player will tell you, it’s not the same game but it’s getting closer with regular updates. The ability to play with a controller on a console makes it more engaging for me but maybe not the original players from the PC world.

Today, Xbox 360 gamers get it a little easier with a retail release of the game which eliminates the need for an internet connection. It’s a popular enough game that it usually reigns at the top of Xbox LIVE activity charts so why not make a retail release? The game will come packed with every update that has currently been released.

I highly suggest picking this up if you haven’t played Minecraft before. It’ll cost you $20 but it’s well worth the purchase. The UK and the rest of Europe will be able to see the retail release towards the end of the month.

I love video games. Writing, talking, and playing them to be specific. I love the industry and could talk your ear off about some video games. Try me if you don't believe me, just bring some snacks.
