One of the more interesting indie titles of the year that we’ve come across, MIND: Path to Thalamus, has finally been given a release date of August 5th. The game will release on Steam for $12.99, and from what we’ve played of it so far, you should have this game on our radar if you like deep stories and imaginative puzzle gameplay.
According to the press release, the game will have over 30 different puzzles and a number of different environmental tools to help you solve them. You can read the full set of official details just below.
“MIND” features more than 30 creative puzzles and 6 interactive environmental tools to solve them, such as turning day into night, covering the world in fog, summoning storms and traveling to the past. In the end, you will face down enemies by using everything you have learnt along the way. Presented through an hour of voice acting interwoven into the gameplay itself, the story will tell you about a father broken down by his mistakes.
Currently, the game has only been planned for release on PC with Oculus Rift support coming soon, but the game’s creator, Carlos Coronado has shown interest in bringing the game over to the PS4 with Project Morpheus support
We’re currently working on a review for the game which should go live either on the release date or just shortly after. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to read the full review once we have it ready.
