After three years of development and multiple delays, Keiji Inafune’s spiritual successor to Megaman, Mighty No. 9 has a firm release date. According to a press release made by Inafune on the platformer’s website the game will release on June 21 for North American and Asia and June 24 for the rest of the world.

Inafune began the announcement with an apology stating that they realize the disappointment many fans may feel due to the numerous delays.

“The release date we are announcing is set in stone,” says Inafune, “there will be no further delays.”

The game will release on all planned platforms except for the 3DS and Vita and will be available to purchase both digitally and in store. Mighty No. 9 will be available on PC, OS X, Linux, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U.

According to Inafune’s press release Mighty No. 9 will come to the 3DS and Vita “at a later point.”
