As I noted a while ago, the main reason we cover resolution and framerate is to inform you if there is a difference between two products, not because we find it something really worth reporting on as news. The latest game to reveal the numbers? Shadow of Mordor.

Monolith’s Studio Head, Kevin Stephens, in an interview with TwinGalaxies talked about the technical aspects of Shadow of Mordor for a bit, revealing that the game is currently running at 1080p on PS4. However, the game has not hit that fabled 60fps mark yet, but the developers say they’re doing everything to get it to that point.

When pressed for comment on the Xbox One version of the game and its technical aspects, Stephen did not respond. With Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag and Watch Dogs, both open world games, only being 900p resolution on the Xbox One, it wouldn’t be far fetched to say that Shadow of Mordor is in the same boat.

Either way, the game looks great and you should certainly keep your eyes on it up until the release on October 7th of this year. We’ll be sure to continue bringing you all the latest on Shadow of Mordor, so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date.
