Microsoft Xbox E3

Microsoft will showcase 14 games from Xbox Game Studios at its press conference at E3 2019.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer revealed the information in a post to Twitter, where he also shared that he had recently completed the final rehearsal for the show in Redmond, Washington.

In terms of the what the 14 games are, many assume that more information about Halo Infinite and Gears 5 will be provided. Ninja Theory’s next game, codenamed Bleeding Edge, may also be revealed, as well as a new Fable game from Playground Studios.

Xbox has been criticized for its lack of high quality exclusive games and 14 of them being shown is definitely a step in the right direction. However, what constitutes as a “Xbox Game Studio game” is broad. For example, one of the studios that Microsoft purchased, Obsidian Entertainment, is releasing The Outer Worlds on multiple platforms. In this sense, The Outer Worlds is still technically an Xbox Game Studio release, but fans most likely want new reveals that are fully exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem.

Microsoft’s E3 2019 briefing will take place on Sunday, June 9 at 1:00 pm PDT. Read OnlySP’s editorial about how exciting the show will be here.
