It’s pretty easy to forget just how important a game’s cover is. It’s essentially the face of a game; the thing that dominates marketing and the first thing customers see when they walk into a store and stumble upon the game. Good box art can go a long way, and Metro: Last Light‘s cover does not disappoint.

The box art for the game, which can be seen below, has been revealed today and it combines the “Metro M” symbol with one of the game’s recent wallpapers (seen above). It looks quite good, and although the PEGI rating on the box mean that this is the UK cover, it’s likely the NA cover will be the same.

Metro: Last Light is set to release in early 2013 for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. Make sure to check out our upcoming “countdown to E3” preview of the game.
