If you liked the throwback nature of the VR missions in the recently released Metal Gear Rising: Revegeance, then there’s more where that came from.

Konami announced yesterday that PS3 players of the game will be able to download a set of 30 new VR missions for the game absolutely free. The DLC pack is available now on the Playstation Network and will only be free until April 1, after which point you’ll have to pay for it, so snag it up quick! Apparently they’re quite challenging, and styled in a fashion that makes them even more reminiscent of the ones from the original Metal Gear Solid.

Furthermore, Konami and Platinum Games will be releasing two pieces of DLC for the game in April, titled “Jetstream and “Bladewolf.” Each will go for $6.99 or the MS Points equivalent and will take the form of separate single-player campaigns wherein you’ll be able to play through unique storylines as either Desperado operative Samuel “Jetsream” Rodriguez or Raiden’s mecha-dog companion, Bladewolf. The add-ons will flesh out the characters and their origin stories while introducing unique mission objectives and new play mechanics. Will we be able to use Bladewolf’s chainsaw tail? One can only hope!

No final release date for the DLC has been mentioned, but when it is, we’ll have the details for you right here at OnlySP.
