Agents of Mayhem

After months of hints and teases, Volition has finally revealed the full roster of heroes for the upcoming Saints Row spin-off Agents of Mayhem.

The game will feature a total of twelve playable characters, with the latest reveal focusing on The Firing Squad, a team of three who are called in to fight off the enemy’s (LEGION’s) most dangerous forces. The Firing Squad comprises Kingpin, Oni, and Scheherazade, who join the previously revealed nine agents, all of whom are profiled below.

Kingpin is a hip-hop wannabe originally named Pierce Washington from Saints Row locale Stillwater. His primary weapon is a machine gun, but he also has the unique ability to summon a killer beat that sets everyone in the immediate vicinity dancing, similar to the Groovitron weapon in recent entries of the Ratchet and Clank series.

Oni is a masked former Yakuza member whose choice of weapon is a high-powered pistol, the use of which is supported by his ability to weaken and inspire fear in his adversaries.

Scheherazade is an Iranian assassin who tends to rely on stealth attacks and melee weaponry. Her throwing knives do give her a long-range option, but her most potent skill is to appear beside enemies and deliver a killing blow with her scimitar.

Hardtack is a former sailor recruited into MAYHEM after defending his shipmates during a LEGION attack. His main weapon is a repeating shotgun, which he uses in combination with mines and a harpoon as means of herding adversaries.

Yeti is a Russian soldier who underwent an experiment to turn him into a “cold warrior” and infuse him with the ability to freeze his enemies. He uses this talent in concert with his greatly-increased strength to smash his opponents with melee strikes.

Red Card is a stereotypical German soccer hooligan , armed with a combination shotgun/assault rifle who focuses on frontal assaults, supported by to use close-range area-of-effect attacks to stun and injure enemies.

Rama is a doctor who was inspired to join the team after LEGION released a virus that devastated her home country. Swearing revenge on those responsible, she uses a high-tech bow to snipe her enemies from afar, as well as using their biological weapons against them.

Joule is a fashionista’s daughter who seeks revenge after her father was targeted by the enemy’s activities. Though she tends to rely on an automated turret capable of inflicting huge amounts of damage, she also carries a beam weapon that allows her to target opponents directly.

Fortune is a Colombian sky pirate who, like Joule, tends to hang back from the action, and depends on her drone companion to keep her safe. When she comes under threat, however, she has a pair of pistols that increase in strength the more she uses them.

Daisy is a roller derby superstar who ploughs through enemies with her minigun and ability to charge through enemies to stun them.

Braddock is a former soldier, discharged for complaining about being forced to train LEGION troops. Her primary weapon is a medium-range burst rifle capable of ignoring enemy armour, though she also has the ability to call down air strikes to deal massive damage.

Finally, Hollywood is a former reality star who acts as the public face of MAYHEM. Armed with a assault rifle and grenade launcher, he is, perhaps, the most typical agent on the roster in terms of his skills.

Throughout Agents of Mayhem, players are able to select any three of these characters to take on missions. Although only one agent is controlled at any given time, players are able to switch between the three at will, rostering the others off to heal and recharge their abilities. As such, players will have a huge number of options to overcome enemy forces throughout the game.

Agents of Mayhem is scheduled for release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on August 15. More details about the game are available in OnlySP’s previous coverage, and be sure to bookmark the site and follow us on FacebookTwitter, and Tumblr for all the latest.
