Square Enix Marvel's Avengers

Square Enix is set to officially reveal its upcoming Avengers title at E3.

A post on the official Avengers Twitter profile has shared the news, confirming that the worldwide reveal will take place during Square Enix’s press conference on June 10, 2019 at 6:00pm PT.

The post has also revealed that the game’s title is Marvel’s Avengers, following in line with Insomniac Games’s Marvel’s Spider-Man last year.

Very little information has been released about the project since its announcement in January 2017. Besides the brief teaser bearing allusions to The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America, no information about the game is known. Square Enix promised more information would come in 2018, and a financial report even suggested that the game may have been scheduled for last year, but all will be revealed next month.

OnlySP’s Michael Cripe recently wrote about the project, and how the recent release of the film Avengers: Endgame could impact the narrative.

Rhain discovered a long time ago that mixing one of his passions (video games) with the other (writing) might be a good idea, and now he’s been stuck in the industry for over six years with no means of escaping. His favourite games are those with deep and captivating narratives: while it would take far too long to list them all, some include L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption (and its sequel), Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Last of Us, and the Uncharted series.
