We all agree that Mars is awesome, right? Even though none of us have actually set foot on it, its redness and proximity to us combined with the ambiguity of potential inhabitants makes it appealing. Why then, have so few games and films attempted to portray it? Thankfully, the folks at Spiders and Focus Interactive have come to their senses and are bringing us another look at the planet with Mars: War Logs.

The basic jist of the game is that it’s a third-person Action-RPG set on a colonized and industrialized Mars. You’ll play renegade Roy Temperance as you fight enemies both human and otherwise, engage in conversations with dialogue options, crafts various items, and otherwise develops his skills.

Check out the teaser trailer and four screenshots below, and let us know what you think! Could this game pick up the pieces that the Red Faction series dropped?

Mars: War Logs is a downloadable titles that is set to release on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 in 2013. Stay tuned for more news on the title!
