Make Indies has announced that it is transforming its animated short Luke’s Escape into a video game.
While a 30-second teaser for the film released in 2013 (embedded below), the team ran out of funds and an Indiegogo campaign failed, meaning the project was never finished.
Exactly what form Luke’s Escape will take as a game is not clear from the announcement, though some form of horror-walking simulator seems likely, given that the only animations listed as being worked on are walk, run, idle, and sneak.
The game is in a very early stage of development. As such, no release window is yet forthcoming, though the team does not anticipate a lengthy production period. Luke’s Escape is targeting a launch on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Make Indies expects to be able to reveal more information “about the plan for the demo” next week.
