In a galaxy not so far away, LucasArts have posted a job listing on their site stating that they’re looking to hire a Senior Core Engineer for an upcoming next-gen title.

They state that such a person “will be the engine level specialist responsible for implementing cutting edge features and optimizations on current and Future Generation console and PC hardware.” They also specifically mentioned that the title that they’d be working on would be an FPS. Job listings regarding a next-gen title have been popping on LucasArts for a while, but this is the first one that confirms what type of game it will be. The Wii U seems to be a possible candidate for one of the platforms the game will release on, but only time will tell.

Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn out like LucasArts’ previous shooter attempt, Fracture.
