Lost Viking: Kingdom of Women is an adventure-strategy indie title inviting players to discover the secret of the Kingdom of Women.
According to the game’s Steam page, the narrative design is set in Eastern Europe during the Early Middle Ages. Players will venture through the story as Ragnald, one of the smartest and greatest warriors in a horde of Vikings. He is also leader of the expedition to discover luscious land abundant with vegetation, water, and animals. Ragnald is accompanied by his wife and children, but most importantly his loyal friend Raga, a grey wolf.
However, during the journey, the expedition falls into an ambush from the Kingdom of Women. Ragnald witnesses his wife and his children taken captive by the attacking women.
Developer Forestlight Games further explains that “Ragnald and the wolf are facing a difficult path, the fight against the weather, wild forest, animals, fight for food, medicine, fight against hostile tribes… but the main motivation is to regain the loved one and children.”
The gameplay is focused on gaining a sense of direction, dexterity, and navigation in the unfamiliar lands. Players will need to cross expanses of water, craft medieval tools, prepare shelters, hunt animals, and cope with mosquitoes and dangerous people.
Lost Viking: Kingdom of Women is set to release on PC via Steam in 2020.
