Xbox One backwards compatibility

Nearly the entire Lost Planet series as well as a spin-off Resident Evil title are coming to Xbox One backwards compatibility starting today.

Team Xbox’s Major Nelson (Larry Hryb) revealed the news today via Twitter. Now, Xbox One players can enjoy Lost Planet, Lost Planet 2, Lost Planet 3, Lost Planet Colonies, and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X.

For those unfamiliar with Lost Planet, the series was created by Keiji Inafune, one of the minds behind the original Mega-Man. Code Veronica launched on the Sega Dreamcast to critical acclaim and, at the time, was regarded as one of the best Resident Evil games.

Sony only has its PlayStation Now program to compete with Xbox One, though rumors are spreading of backwards compatible hardware in the future.
