It seems there has been quite a big shake up with publisher CI Games and Deck13, the developers of Lords of the Fallen.

According to a news release on the CI Games website, the contract between Deck13 and CI Games has been terminated due to “improper performance”. We had to translate the news release to get that information, but if you can read Polish you may find more information here.

Deck13 has yet to comment, but at this point in time it looks like Lords of the Fallen 2, now scheduled for 2017, will be developed internally at CI Games. We’ll keep you posted if we hear any new details regarding this story so stay tuned to OnlySP for further updates.

  1. CI Games will also work with “outsiders” on Lords of the Fallen 2. Shocking that there’s very little coverage of that item in English.

  2. What the heck does “improper performance” mean? I get annoyed when publishers bully developers – they forget on which side their bread is buttered.

    1. means “didn’t sell well”

      1. Thanks. The game got decent reviews. If they’d give the developers a chance they could improve with the next game. It’s like getting a divorce after one argument.
