Square Enix has revealed a collector’s edition as a sort of last hurrah for the first season of Life is Strange’s prequel series, Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
The publisher sent out a tweet early this morning with a picture and link highlighting what will be included in the final pack. Most notably, the collector’s edition will include a bonus episode for the Before the Storm DLC called ‘Farewell’.
‘Farewell’ will launch on March 6, with the box set following close behind on March 9. The bonus episode will give players back control of Max Caulfield, the protagonist of the original seaso, though whether her time traveling powers will join her in her return is unknown.
Before the Storm’s collector’s set, called the Vinyl Edition, will come with a large number of bonuses for fans of the original game and its prequel. Before the Storm Vinyl Edition will include the complete Before the Storm season, a vinyl set of the original soundtrack, the soundtrack on CD, and an art book. The Vinyl Edition is also now up for pre-order on the Square Enix internet store.
Further digital bonuses will also be included, as the Vinyl Edition will also pack in the ‘Farewell’ bonus episode, a new mixtape mode, a new outfit pack, and the first episode from the original Life is Strange season.
Though the set is serving as a finale of sorts for what Life is Strange has become, Dontnod has already confirmed that it has begun development for the episodic title’s second season.
