One of the developers at Naughty Dog has just posted some exciting things about The Last of Us: Remastered on his Twitter account this morning.

You probably already knew the game was going to look better on the PS4, that was given, but according to Drew Thaler of Naughty Dog, there’s no comparison between the PS4 and PS3 versions of The Last of Us.

Another interesting thing Thaler tweeted about was the game’s load times. The Last of Us, at least for me, was pretty slow loading starting up and thankfully, it doesn’t sound like that’ll be an issue with the Remastered edition. The crazy thing is though, is how much data is being loaded onto the disc and is still faster than PS3 version according to Thaler, which he describes as, “negt-gen”.

We still haven’t seen gameplay from the Remastered edition of the game, but it sure seems like Naughty Dog is going to surprise the heck out of us when we finally get our hands on it. We’ll be sure to bring you all the latest details on The Last of Us: Remastered, so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest.

  1. Bring it on I’m ready :)

    1. This ^ Just about at the end of my Grounded difficulty playthrough and can’t wait to do it all over again on PS4.

  2. Is it possible for it to come out earlier than expected? Because ND said that fitting everything on disc was the only problem left.

  3. So how much better does it look? Obviously at 1080p it wont be the jaggy mess the original was but what about the blurry textrues and the awful lighting?

I expect to see comparisons in digital foundry to answer those things because sony is full of bs.

    1. They’ve already said it will use the models/textures/lighting that were used to create the pre-rendered cutscenes in the PS3 version, on top of the 1080p60 upgrade.

      1. I Said textures.

    2. Blurry textures? Awful lighting? Did we even play the same game? Yeah, there was little to no anti aliasing, but it ran at 720p native (not upscaled) on a ps3 of all things. That game was a technical marvel.

blurry textures, awful lighting, now i also play games on pc and at this point any game on ps3/x360 runs on low pc settings.

Uncharted 3 was more graphically impressive than the last of us killzone 3 and the last god of war game were far superior than the last of us in graphics.
