Koruldia Heritage is the first game from the two-person development team at Korugen, and the game’s trailer gives off strong vibes of Undertale and Final Fantasy VI.
Renaud Sauzet and his girlfriend Irié have been working on Koruldia Heritage for several years, inspired by the likes of Final Fantasy (specifically the top-down view of Final Fantasy VI and the fixed 3D views of VII, VIII, and IX).
Players can help to fund the game on Kickstarter. While the title may have already surpassed its goal of £10,000 with almost two weeks remaining, it still has several stretch goals teasing additional features in the game, such as more NPCs and console versions of the game.
Koruldia Heritage is a story-driven role-playing game, in which players have the opportunity to act with violence or compassion. Using the former will result in the player missing several important story choices, as the developer hopes to demonstrate that video gaming is not all about violence.
