So, each soldier represents a game?

The Killzone series has continually maintained a reputation of being Sony’s most intense and visually powerful FPS franchise. This October, you’ll be able to get all three of the series’ numbered titles in one gritty, monochrome package.

Sony has announced today that the next PS3 Collection, Killzone Trilogy, will be coming to store shelves soon, sporting a tidy price tag of $39.99 usd. Not only does it include both PS3 titles Killzone 2 and Killzone 3, complete with their respective map packs and DLC, but it also includes the long requested HD remake of the original Killzone for PS2. 3D support and Move compatibility are also touted, but for all we know, this could only apply to Killzone 3, which already had both features.

The HD rendition of Killzone will sport an HD makeover that allows for 720p resolution. Not only that, but the title is also getting full trophy support. If you already own 2 and 3, worry not; it’s likely that a standalone version of Killzone HD will be coming to PSN.

All three titles were developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony. Check out the trailer below to glimpse some of the story aspects of the series, and check out the screenshots to see how Killzone HD looks.

Killzone Trilogy releases on October 23rd exclusively for PS3 (duh). Make sure to follow OnlySP for more visually textually powerful news.

  1. I think I may pick this up. I never did play the first game and I wouldn&#039t mind having part 2 & 3 again. I really like how Sony has been doing these collections. It&#039s a great way to get people into a series and it&#039s cheap. I may also pick up the GOW collection since it has all the games and I kind of want to play them again.
