Avalanche Studios is still toiling away on preparing the long awaited gameplay trailer for Just Cause 3, but in the meantime they’re keeping us busy by releasing tons of screenshots from the beautiful looking game.

A new set of screenshots was released over the weekend, and you can check them out just below.

So far, based on the screenshots that we’ve received, Avalanche Studios has only shown a very small snippet of the game world as most of the screenshots seem to be focusing on the same area from different locales. It’ll be very interesting to see just how varied the full game world is when they inevitably reveal more of it in the near future.

We’ll be sure to keep you informed on all the latest from Just Cause 3, so don’t forget to follow OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter.

  1. What’s wrong with this picture?
Great screenshots, shows a lot of intimate agricultural and natural beauty.
in following a significant discussion of this game’s development on steam. It seems having a dynamic wildlife feature was not “the focus” of the studio. You can take this with a grain of salt. However, unless this project features another significant leap forward in sandbox games, I can’t help but feel this will be a missed opportunity.
I hope I’m wrong. JC2 could have been a legendary game with a few major tweaks. Yes, wildlife is one of them.

  2. Wildlife worries aside (that I just learned about thanks to JJIX), it is looking rather beautiful. However, I agree that we need to see more diversity in the areas and also need a world which feels living and inhabited, wildlife being part of that.

No player wants to feel like they are destroying things in a ball pit or an empty room. The idea of causing mayhem is what is fun about such games and that is greatly aided when you feel you are interrupting the normal course of life. That life needs to be there for that to have a big impact. People are my personal priority, but I’d love to see wildlife too.

That said, they could just go for a flock of birds or something, but still, missed opportunity.
