Edge of Eternity has received its third major Early Access update, which introduces a new city and a plethora of other content.
The team at Midgar Studio promises at least eight hours of new story elements and gameplay, as the game’s characters enter the futuristic city of Tyr-Caelum.
Details on the new story content are light, but the team promises challenging battles and a revelation that “might very well change the fate of [the] world.”
In addition to the city, the new update includes a junkyard dungeon, a jungle biome, unique legendary weaponry, and a new playable character.
The update also introduces several system-level changes, including alterations to the way weapon levelling works, an improved dialogue camera, new character interaction mechanics, and the ability to set when characters wake up after a rest.
Edge of Eternity entered Early Access in December 2018, after a successful Kickstarter campaign in early 2015. The game is currently set to release in full at some point during 2020.
