John Wick Hex composer Austin Wintory has shared his initial thoughts regarding the potential reception for the game.
In an exclusive interview with OnlySP, Wintory shared the story on his collaboration with director Mike Bithell (Thomas Was Alone, Subsurface Circular), and how he was not sure if the game would divide players.
“I kinda thought it would be polarising, although it seemed to be generally quite well-recieved,” Wintory said. “I didn’t know if it was going to be one of those that divided people neatly down the middle; it seemed like, overwhelmingly, those that checked it out seemed to kind of get [Bithell’s] perspective and were able to embrace it.”
Stay tuned for the first part of the video interview with Wintory later today.
OnlySP’s Amy Campbell awarded John Wick Hex a Distinction (4/5) and stated, “Bithell Games promised players the chance to be John Wick, and by choosing the genre least expected, it has delivered on that promise.”
