inFamous: First Light was announced during Sony’s E3 press conference as a stand-alone piece of DLC for the recently released inFamous: Second Son, and Sucker Punch has now announced a release date: August 26th. The announcement confirms a PlayStation Store leak from earlier this month.

Rather than simply putting players back in control of Delsin Rowe, the team at Sucker Punch has moved Abigail “Fetch” Walker (the neon-wielding friend of Delsin’s from the main game) into the playable role. The DLC acts as a prequel, focussing on Fetch’s time in Curdun Cay, the prison specially designed to hold Conduits. Further details, including the possible expansion of the Neon moveset, are being kept under wraps for now.

Being a stand-alone release, the main game is not needed to play First Light, though Sucker Punch have mentioned that owners of the main game will receive exclusive content hidden away within the DLC. No pricing details have yet been released. You can see the initial reveal video below:
