Independent developer Ocaso Creations’s isometric fantasy adventure game In Darkness has entered “its final stage of [E]arly [A]ccess“, and the developer has released a new trailer to show off the game’s progress.
The Early Access version of In Darkness originally let players explore a wide variety of levels across the first chapter. Later, the developer revised the project to feature a more open-format story.
While Ocaso cannot provide specifics regarding how long In Darkness will remain in Early Access, the team promises to take on player feedback and update the game accordingly, aiming to improve and polish the title during this period. The developer has provided few details about what remains to be done, but has highlighted the incorporation of Steam Achievements as one of the final steps.
The final version of the game will include additional sets of weapons and armor, more creatures, and a more polished user interface.
In Darkness is inspired by epic tales of myth and legend, as well as games such as Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and Ghosts ‘n Goblins.
The title features an isometric perspective, three fighter classes, puzzles, and character customization that supports a story of an endless battle for survival and power in a mysterious land.
