Hollow Knight

UPDATE: Contrary to the original report, Death’s Gambit is currently only scheduled for a PlayStation 4 release. Neither the new publisher, Skybound Games, nor developer, White Rabbit Studios, has confirmed a Switch or Xbox One release.

OnlySP apologises for the earlier inaccuracy.

ORIGINAL STORY: Indie hits Hollow Knight and Death’s Gambit are coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 alongside physical versions of each game.

The news comes from Skybound Games thanks to a new partnership, resulting in the aforementioned titles finally reaching a wider audience. While releasing on other platforms may have been slightly predictable, the announcement of physical releases for both titles is exciting.

Hollow Knight is currently planned for a spring 2019 release, while fans can expect Death’s Gambit in late 2018 or early 2019.

Hollow Knight released on Nintendo Switch earlier this year, and its PC version has been receiving solid updates since releasing in 2017. Meanwhile, Death’s Gambit has yet to release on Switch, but will come to the mobile console when at the same time as it launches on other platforms.

Skybound also teased an additional announcement for Hollow Knight, stating that developer Team Cherry will have news “regarding the digital release.”
