Enter the world of assassination early. Square Enix announced that the beta for the new Hitman game will arrive for PlayStation 4 and PC in February. You can check out the trailer below.
Hitman takes players back to the beginning, when Agent 47 meets his handler Diana Burnwood. The beta is set twenty years in the past at a top secret International Contract Agency recruitment and training facility, an extremely unique mission because it reveals how Agent 47 was first recruited into the ICA. This is a huge revelation to longtime fans of the series and the perfect starting point for newcomers to the game.
Hitman will send Agent 47 across the globe to unravel a conspiracy originating from the highest echelons of the world’s power elite. The game will launch with three initial sandbox locations: Paris, Sapienza, and Marrakesh, and feature six missions. Live content, including time-limited contracts and promoted community contracts will also begin at launch. Thailand, USA, and Japan will also be added after launch.
Hitman will also feature six PS4 exclusive contracts called “The Sarajevo Six”. These are self-contained contracts that send Agent 47 around the world in pursuit of six former members of a paramilitary unit called CICADA. Each target is guilty of committing brutal war crimes and now, many years later, fate is finally catching up with them.
Hitman will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on March 11th, 2016.
The start date for the Hitman beta is February 12th and anyone who has preordered the game on PlayStation 4 will get guaranteed access. A week later, on February 19th, the beta will be available for everyone that has pre-ordered the game for PC.
