Hitman 2

Aspiring assassins are now able to jump into last year’s HITMAN 2 for free following the release of the Starter Pack.

The new release gives players access to the opening ‘Nightcall’ mission, as well as the entirety of the New Zealand-set Hawke’s Bay location. The developers note that any progress made by players will carry over to the full game, should they choose to buy it.

This Starter Pack follows a similar approach that IO Interactive took with the previous series entry. The Free Trial for HITMAN included the ICA facility and the full range of activities and challenges therein.

Furthermore, IO Interactive has revealed that the next Elusive Target will be based in Hawke’s Bay, giving new players the chance to take down a disgraced ex-minister.

Late last year, OnlySP’s Sebastian Young made the case for why the sequel—like its predecessor—should have been episodic.
