The Elder Scrolls theme song, originally composed by Jeremy Soule for Morrowind, has had many iterations over the years, with each new Elder Scrolls game slightly adapting the familiar tune. The most recent version – the Skyrim theme – is arguably the most punchy and dramatic take on the Elder Scrolls theme so far.

Bringing you this take on the Skyrim theme is violinist and dancer Lindsey Stirling, and vocalist Peter Hollens. The duo created this arrangement and recorded this video clip, which hits many of the dramatic beats found in the game, with a particular focus on the spectacular snowy landscape. It’s a strong adaptation of a strong theme song, capturing the raw and rugged thrill of Skyrim‘s vast landscape.
