Following the teaser trailer previously released for the psychological horror game The Park, a new preview video showing off the game has been released by Funcom, the developers.
Players assume the role of Lorraine as she searches for her son in a theme park. Sound and audio cues from the protagonist are an especially important element, as she responds to her environment and conveys her emotional state.
The first-person horror game will be 1-2 hours long and is narratively driven. The Park is compared to the developers to Gone Home and to a Stephen King novel.
‘The Park’ puts players into the shoes of Lorraine, a mother whose son goes missing in a mysterious and creepy theme park. When night falls and the lights go out, you must face an emotional and terrifying journey through an amusement park where a dark and sinister secret is just waiting to be uncovered.
The Park is slated to release for PC this month, in October 2015.
