IGN First’s game of the month this March is Highwire Game’s recently announced PlayStation VR exclusive title, Golem. Yesterday IGN released the first hands-on preview of the game which is a fantastic read all around. You should definitely go check it out as it includes a ton of interesting details on the game and what it’s like to experience it in PS VR.
Today, IGN have released the first actual gameplay from Golem. You can check it out at the bottom of the article.
The video released today focuses mostly on the exploration aspect of Golem which might surprise you with just how cool it is. The video has the player taking control of a six inch stone statue as you explore a bedroom and a “cave system” beneath a house. While you can’t really get the sense of scale on play in the demo without using a VR headset, it’s still a very interesting watch.
Tomorrow IGN will be revealing another video which focuses on the combat found in Golem, which revolves around massive stone statues duking it out with swords. We’ll be sure to share that video with you as well as soon as it’s released.
Golem is being built exclusively for the PlayStation VR system with Unreal Engine 4. The game is single player only and will focus on exploration, combat and a deeper narrative, according to Highwire. Stay tuned for more details by following OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter.
