With E3 2014 just around the corner, we decided to compile a list of Single Player games that have been confirmed, or heavily rumored, to show up. From the sprawling RPGs, to immersive horrors, to sequels upon sequels, E3 2014 has something for everyone.

With Creative Assembly taking a stab at making an Alien game as authentic to the movie as possible, Alien: Isolation is heating up as a big horror game for 2014. After confirming an E3 presence, it’ll be interesting to see how much the game has developed since its reveal earlier this year.
Assassin’s Creed Unity/Assassin’s Creed Comet
After weeks of rumors, screenshot leaks and a solitary gameplay trailer, Ubisoft is finally ready to show off in force the next chapter of the Asssassin’s Creed series, dubbed Assassin’s Creed Unity. Taking place during the French Revolution, the only info we know is that it’ll come out on PS4, Xbox One and PC only and has up to 10 studios working on it.
Comet, the rumored other half of Assassin’s Creed 5, has yet to be confirmed but is definitely going to have a huge onslaught of information revealed for E3.

Batman: Arkham Knight
The final chapter in the Arkham franchise for Rocksteady, Batman: Arkham Knight introduces one of the most iconic weapons to the Dark Knight’s arsenal: The Batmobile. With only 2 trailers and a bunch of screenshots released so far, Rocksteady look set to show off a lot of details and maybe possibly some information on the brand new villain “The Arkham Knight”.
Costume Quest 2
Tim Schafer’s beloved game Costume Quest is getting a sequel and despite a lack of gameplay or screenshots, it’s set to come to E3 2014. Costume Quest focuses on children trick or treating on Halloween and features a battle system where the children become the costumes they wear. The sequel is set to improve on the original’s mechanics and feature new costumes.
Dragon Age: Inquisition
BioWare’s newest installment of Dragon Age, Inquisition, is the first title from the developer that is FrostBite 3 powered. This game, while not open world, is set to have stunning environments with breakable parts to the world during combat. Dragon Age: Inquisition will feature a revamped combat system that both strategic and action players should like. Expect to see various gameplay walkthrough coverage on the show floor or a story trailer during EA’s press conference.
The Evil Within
Shinji Mikami, creator of Resident Evil, is bringing horror back. His latest project The Evil Within, dubbed the spiritual successor of Resident Evil 4, is set to take horror back to its roots with limited inventories, deliberately slow movement and some of the most disgusting creatures your mind can fathom. You can expect this terror of a game to be making an appearance at this year’s E3.
After being revealed earlier this month, Ubisoft have pledged to showcase a lot more of Far Cry 4 at E3 2014, the next chapter in the open world adventure series. Set in the Himalayas and featuring “rideable elephants”, the game looks set to be just as wild and unpredictable as Far Cry 3’s Rook Islands.
Final Fantasy XV
Previously named Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Final Fantasy XV is an open world action RPG developed by the Kingdom Hearts team and headed by Tetsuya Nomura. Set for next generation consoles only, this title is fully using the new Luminous Engine, first shown by the tech demo Agni’s Philosophy, and has seamless field to battle transitions. The five characters of Final Fantasy XV will be wrapped up around a plot revolving a cold war between two nations for a crystal which is the last in existence and are attacked by an invasion from the other kingdom. Fans are hoping for a release date or window of this long developed title, 8 years in the making. Series producer Shinji Hashimoto confirmed the appearance of both Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 at E3 during a panel within the Thailand Comicon event earlier this month.
Hotline Miami 2
Dennaton Games’ pulse pounding, ultra violent top-down shoot ’em up returns with Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. Promising more characters, more abilities and even a new “hard mode”, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number looks set to deliver a thrilling and dark experience that’ll have you constantly questioning your motives.
