Publisher Nimble Giant has recently released the first playable demo for Hellbound, its ’90s-styled FPS slated for a 2020 release.

After raising over USD$41,000 through Kickstarter and releasing Survival Mode, the team behind Hellhound, Saibot Studios, now has its sights set on putting the finishing touches on its single-player campaign.

In its first-ever playable demo released on Steam this week, Hellbound shows off a shooter in the vein of classics like DOOM, Quake, and Duke Nukem.

With loud metal, a foul-mouthed announcer, and an excess of blood and gore, Hellbound aims to take players back to a special time in the ’90s when the FPS genre was raw and hardcore.

Hellbound is set for a spring 2020 release and will be playable on PC via Steam.
