GamesRadar has just released a new video preview for Halo 5: Guardians today and have reportedly been told that the campaign is twice as long as Halo 4’s campaign.

However, the person who wrote the article said the campaign for Halo 4 was “pretty long”, which I completely disagree with having finished it in four hours on my first playthrough, but then again, I’m a seasoned Halo player so maybe I just ran through it quickly. According to Gamesradar though, the campaign for Halo 5 was even larger at earlier stages of development, but was scaled back a bit.

Thankfully, Halo 5: Guardian’s campaign will have a lot more to do than Halo 4’s, as we’ll be visiting different worlds through out the campaign, including Human, Covenant and Forerunner worlds.

Based on all that, it sounds like Halo 5’s campaign will match up with the previous games in terms of length, but with some added depth of course with the new squad controls and story elements in play. Obviously, all that doesn’t matter if the story isn’t any good, but based on our time with Halo 4, I don’t think there’s anything to worry about there.

The GamesRadar interview doesn’t provide much more “new” information than what I’ve listed above, but if you want to check it out for yourself just follow the link.
