UPDATE: Frank O’Connor, following the unprecedented amount of hype received by the Tweets above has responded to NeoGaf forums further commenting on the statement made by Yu earlier today.
“Corrine is expressing pride in the team in a twitter character limit, mostly to her colleagues. At no time will you ever hear us ‘officially’ represent the game in those terms. So uncrank your hype handles a couple of turns.”
He continued in a later post, “The best looking game could be anything. Geometry Wars is one of my favorite looking games. Forza. Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. Crysis. Gears. And let’s not even send out a clarion call to Uncharted people.
This is not that other forum. We are not children. Accept she tweeted a note of pride in our team and move along.”
According to Examiner we should also be expecting a ton of Halo 4 details this week so stay tuned!
Little to no details about Halo 4 are currently known, but lately we’ve seen plenty of talk occuring about the game. One of the developers at 343 was answering some questions on Twitter today. Corrinne Yu, the principal engine programmer of Halo 4 had this to say about the progress being made on Halo 4.
“It’s the best looking game on Xbox and any other consoles we ever made and we’re all from AAA studios. So proud of team.”
Yu also said:
“We are super glad. We all can’t wait to share with you what we are crunching so hard on. #halo4”
Furthermore, she carried on to say:
“We really enjoy working on #HALO4.Time flies when coding work is so much fun.Even more fun when we’re done”.
Currently Gears of War 3 is easily the best looking game on the console. Each time we begin to think the console is maxed out, another stunning game is released. Will Halo 4 prove that the Xbox 360 still has some juice left?
