Activision has announced over on its official Facebook page that the downloadable content that was released for Guitar Hero, Band Hero and DJ Hero series will be taken offline and removed from each platforms’ respected digital stores in just a few weeks time.

They’ve reassured users that if you have previously purchased songs for either game, they’ll still be available to play as long as you already have the song downloaded onto your system. The multiplayer servers will still be online as well.

The publisher also thanked the fans for all the support over the years and a variety of tracks and track packs will be placed into a last minute, up to 50% off sale. You have until March 31st 2014 to take advantage of this as the DLC will be pulled and taken offline sometime on that day.

It’s a sad day to be a Guitar or DJ Hero fan.
