GRIS Undone 1

Devolver Digital has announced a new free update for Nomada Studio’s GRIS.

The new update, titled GRIS Undone, adds a new browser for players to listen to music tracks by Berlinist not featured in the final game, including an alternative version of the main theme. The browser also allows players to view unused concept art and designs by creative director Conrad Roset, such as some early designs for Gris’s iconic dress. Check out the trailer and some of the designs below.

Alongside the new update, Devolver Digital revealed that the game has sold over 300,000 copies across both Nintendo Switch and PC. To celebrate, the game is 15% off on Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, Humble, and GOG.

OnlySP’s Rhain Radford-Burns awarded GRIS a High Distinction (5/5), stating that “GRIS easily stands among the best independent gems of the medium, presenting a narrative experience unlike any other. Gamers are doing themselves a disservice by not playing this game—GRIS is unmissable.” Check out his review here.

Conrad Roset was awarded Best Art Design during OnlySP’s Best of 2018, beating nominees such as Ni no Kuni II: Revenant KingdomOctopath Traveler, and Tetris Effect. The game was also nominated for OnlySP’s Best Game of 2018.

Rhain Radford-Burns
Rhain discovered a long time ago that mixing one of his passions (video games) with the other (writing) might be a good idea, and now he’s been stuck in the industry for over six years with no means of escaping. His favourite games are those with deep and captivating narratives: while it would take far too long to list them all, some include L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption (and its sequel), Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Last of Us, and the Uncharted series.
