Skyrim

While most videogame content creators on YouTube are young people who launch into the videos with a high-energy greeting, Shirley Curry breaks the mould as an 82-year-old who greets her viewers as ‘her Grandkids’.

Curry mixes video travelogues with gaming content which is exclusively focussed on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Curry mostly plays the role of a travelling merchant, selling the treasure she finds as she explores the expansive world of the game.

Recently, a Reddit user found a comment left by Curry, who is known to her fanbase as Grandma Shirley, where she expressed her doubts that she would live long enough to see the release of the next Elder Scrolls game.

Fans leaped into action, creating a petition on Change.org to try and persuade developer Bethesda to include Curry in The Elder Scrolls VI in some capacity, though most are hoping that Grandma Shirley will make an appearance as an NPC.

Bethesda is yet to reply to the petition. To keep up with new developments, keep checking with OnlySP on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
