Grand Theft Auto IV will be returning to Steam after a month with a Complete Edition update.
Starting March 19, Grand Theft Auto IV and its downloadable content Episodes from Liberty City (which includes The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony) will not be available for individual purchase, replaced by Complete Edition on all platforms.
With this update, online multiplayer and player leaderboards will no longer be available in game. Three in-game radio stations will also be temporarily unavailable.
Players who already own a Steam copy will simply need to update their copy of the game when it is made available. Players with a physical copy of the game will need to use the key on the back of the manual to activate their copy through Steam.
Any users who activated their game using Games for Windows – Live will be required to link a Rockstar Games Social Club account in order to update to the Complete Edition.
Rockstar also warns that new activations may not work until the update takes place next month.
Rockstar was forced to remove the game from Steam in January, as keys could no longer be generated due to the discontinuation of Games for Windows – Live.
