It looks like there’s a new Hideo Kojima in town, folks. Capcom’s upcoming title Resident Evil 6 will sport a large amount of cutscenes.

The game has just been rated by BBFC, who in gave it an 18 rating, unsurprisingly. However, they also stated that all of RE6‘s cutscenes have a combined running time of 4 hours and 15 minutes. The game is stated to switch seamlessly from cutscenes to gameplay, meaning that they shoudln’t take you out of the experience too much. Let’s hope the option to skip them is included for those who aren’t interested. There’s no excuse for a game having unskippable cutscenes in 2012.

Resident Evil 6 releases on October 2nd for PS3 and Xbox 360. Make sure to follow OnlySP for more news worth grabbing popcorn for.
