Anybody here remember Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, the game that released late last year for PC and was so delightfully charming and colorful that I scored it an 8.5/10 when I reviewed it and highly recommended oh my god the memories it was so fun why don’t I go play it right now yeah sounds good see you later…? If not, you’ll be happy to know it’s coming to Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network in the next two weeks.

Today, it was announced that developer Black Forest Game’s ports of the title would be hitting XBLA on March 20 and PSN “a few days later,” which probably means March 26, since the PS Store is updated on Tuesdays. It’ll be sold for 1200 Microsoft Points/$14.99, the same price that the PC version is going for. No new features or content were mentioned, though you can hopefully expect a smooth porting job.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is a sidescrolling platformer in which protagonist Giana can shift between two forms, “Cute” and “Punk,” each of which have their own unique abilities and occupy dream and nightmare versions of the fantasy setting the game takes place in. The seamless transitions between Giana’s forms and shifting of the world, coupled with the fluid mechanics, catchy soundtrack and imaginative level design, made the game very fun in my book. Highly recommended for anyone even slightly interested in sidescrollers. If you want the PC version, it’s available now on GOG and Steam.

  1. Nice. I personally felt the game was better suited for a controller. Glad it’s making it to the console market.
