Genesis Alpha One, the hybrid roguelike shooter and base-bulder by Team 17, has a new trailer that focuses on customisation, combat, and alien DNA harvesting.

In Genesis Alpha One, players will assume the role of a space shuttle captain, tasked with finding a new home for the humans on board. As captain, players will be able to build and customise their shuttle and crew by utilising and harvesting alien DNA.

DNA harvesting is achieved by venturing onto hostile planets to gather resources and kill aliens with a wide array of weaponry. The DNA can then be spliced with the crew to create new life forms to maximize their combat performance. Aliens are not just found on planets, but will also invade the ship. Ship invasions means players will have to defend, repair, and build upon their shuttles.

Genesis Alpha One will be releasing on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 4, 2019.
