I’m feeling pretty nostalgic right about now. I still remember on Christmas day back in 2006 when I first got my hands on the original Gears of War. I was pretty excited being as I was a 12 year old with an M rated game, and I’m pretty sure my parents didn’t exactly know what I was getting into, and had to pause it every time they came downstairs to check on me due the absurd amount of language and gore…at least I turned out alright. I think.

Well, nostalgia aside, Black Tusk Studios seems to be making some great progress on the upcoming Gears of War installment for the Xbox One according to Phil Spencer.

So far, we have yet to even see a teaser trailer for the game as development only started earlier this year. According to a recent piece of information given to us by Shinobi602, we probably won’t be seeing Gears of War 4 until sometime in 2016. But, that doesn’t mean we won’t be playing Gears of War on the Xbox One sooner than that. According to Shinobi, there is a Gears of War collection in the works for the Xbox One similar to the likes of Halo: Master Chief Collection and will release sometime in 2015. You can read about that rumor here.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated if we hear anything else regarding Gears of War for the Xbox One, so don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest information.
