If you were hoping to, say, practice your chainsaw skills by busting out the Kinect come Gears of War: Judgement‘s release date, you’re out of luck. Cliff Bleszinski has stated that although it’s an interesting idea, Kinect integration just won’t work.

Speaking to Games Magazine, series ‘it man’ Cliffy B stated that Epic Games and People Can Fly would wait to see other titles make proper use of the Kinect before taking the plunge themselves.

There’s one thing actually that you just reminded me of though, is that we are not supporting Kinect in Gears Judgment. I like Kinect, I’ve been a fan of it, but I don’t think it has been fully realized as far as the potential of the device. Dance Central 3 looks great and all, but I’m curious how the ‘core’ games will work out…
