Frostpunk, the nihilistic city-builder from dystopian masters 11 bit studios, has sold 250,000 units within the first three days since release.
In a tweet from the game’s official Twitter account, CEO Grzegorz Miechowski stated that the developer has, as a result of the sales figures, fully committed to producing expansion content.
Interestingly, 11 bit studios will provide “many” free updates for Frostpunk, alongside the full expansions, which indicates that the game will have plenty of longevity to add to the main content’s already impressive scale. The developer’s previous game, This War Is Mine, was also a financial success on release, covering the game’s costs within three days. That game, too, also featured plenty of side content after release, including DLC and free updates.
#Frostpunk sold 250k units in the first 66 hours! Thank you for supporting us, we love you all! 💙
