It’s been quite a while since we’ve heard anything about Fortnite, the monster survival/base building game in development for the PC platform utilizing Unreal Engine 4. The game was revealed two years ago now at the Spike VGAs and a teaser trailer was shown.

Last year we uncovered some leaked footage of the game showing the game in action on Unreal Engine 4 and the awesome base building tools being put to use. The video was later removed from YouTube, but it seems someone else nabbed the footage and re-uploaded it. Check it out below if you haven’t seen it yet, but don’t be surprised if it gets removed again following the posting of this news story.

We reached out to Epic Games this week to inquire about the game and asked if the project could potentially be coming to Xbox One. Epic Games PR manager Wes Phillips said, “Fortnite is the next big game from Epic. And while we are excited by the progress on Fortnite, we don’t have anything else to share just yet.”

It’ll be interesting to see what has changed over the two years since the game was revealed. Currently the game has only been listed for a PC release, but we wouldn’t be surprised at all to see it on Xbox One and possibly PS4.
