I’ve been playing quite a bit of Grand Theft Auto V since I got it for Christmas this year, and while I’ve really enjoyed the new first person perspective of the game, the shooting has felt very off to me.

As I’ve found out, this was due to the “deadzone” of the controller, which was really causing the first person mode to be unusable in a firefight on GTA V. In the last patch for GTA V, released a few weeks ago, Rockstar added in new options to allow players to change the settings of the controller to allow for a smoother FPS experience. I can only imagine that I’m not the only person that missed out on that patch, or didn’t know what a deadzone was until now.

In the following video, Youtube user, Dat Saintsfan, will explain to you what exactly deadzone is, and how to change the settings of your controller to make the gunplay feel a lot more like Call of Duty and Battlefield.

We”ll continue sharing useful guides with you throughout the year, so be sure to follow OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest single player gaming updates.
