The first look at gameplay from Peregrin, an epic adventure game from Domino Digital and Green Man Gaming has been revealed in an announcement trailer, showcasing the game’s evocative art design and haunting atmosphere.

From the developers of Calvino Noir, and Morphopolis comes Peregrin, a story-driven puzzle adventure game combining science-fiction, fantasy, and mythology. With these elements forming into a cohesive narrative, players will guide Abi, a young scavenger, as she leaves the safety of her tribe and embarks on a journey of personal and collective loss through the wasteland known as The Divide in an effort to save her people.

Players will utilize Abi’s unique arcane powers to temporarily control creatures both simple and complex, using their capabilities to solve puzzles and survive intense combat encounters.

Peregrin contains a fully-voiced English narrative across five chapters and over sixty detailed environmental scenes, drawing inspiration from bespoke sci-fi artists such as John Harris and Moebius.

While initially planned for PC and Mac, the inclusion of Green Man Gaming means Peregrin will also be coming to console in the future.

“Bringing Peregrin to console is a vital step in our expansion as a games publisher,” said Gary Rowe, EVP of Publishing at Green Man Gaming. “The demand for creative, high quality independent titles from small teams is higher than ever, and we’re pleased to be able to bring more to the console market.”

Peregrin has full controller support on PC and Mac, and although no release date has been given, the game’s Steam page has a “Coming Soon” tag.
