Kingdom Come

Having recently released ‘The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon’, Warhorse Studios has provided a rough outline of the contents of Kingdom Come: Deliverance‘s final two DLC packs.

Speaking exclusively to OnlySP, Warhorse Studios’s PR Manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling said first that the team has always been careful about saying too much, not wanting to promise more than it can deliver, and so was willing to speak only in broad strokes.

As revealed in the roadmap earlier this year, the next release will be called ‘Band of Bastards’. As fans may have guessed from the accompanying image, this third piece of DLC “will definitely focus more on combat.” During a recent visit to the studio, OnlySP had a chance to see work-in-progress from the content, including a gory pile of corpses and cutscenes of battle, suggesting an action-packed episode sure to sate the more bloodthirsty fans.

However, Stolz-Zwilling is as yet unready to provide explicit details about the story: “there will be this band of bastards where you are somehow involved with them, and it will be somehow taking more like—the focus will be more on some kind of fighting, combat, something happened in the world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance.”

The final piece of DLC, ‘A Woman’s Lot’ will cast players in a new role. Theresa, one of Henry’s romantic interests from the main game, will be the star. Stolz-Zwilling mentioned that this campaign will feature a retelling of at least the opening hours, including her experiences of the Cuman invasion of Skalitz, but provided few details about how far it would extend.

The team will also release the canine companion promised during the Kickstarter campaign, which one of the team members was in the midst of modelling at the time of the visit.

No timeframe is yet set for the release of any of this content. Stolz-Zwilling did mention that each piece of DLC so far has taken approximately three months of work, but does not guarantee that those remaining will meet this same window. After the issues surrounding the launch of ‘The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon’, the team has pledged to take whatever time is required to ensure that such problems are not repeated.

The full interview will be available in the coming days. In the meantime, be sure to bookmark OnlySP and follow us on FacebookTwitter, and YouTube for all the latest from the world of single-player gaming.
