Final Fantasy VII Remake available now (EB Games)

Final Fantasy VII Remake has broken street date in Australia and is available now.

Australian retailers EB Games and JB Hi-Fi have announced that the game is now available in-store and online, a full ten days before its official worldwide release on April 10.

Both websites list the game as on sale, with a plea that players “don’t spoil it” for others by avoiding videos or screenshots until the worldwide launch.

Square Enix recently announced that it was shipping the game to Europe and Australia earlier than anticipated to ensure that all players received the game in light of the disruption to distribution channels caused by COVID-19.

OnlySP’s George Yang checked out the game at PAX East 2020, noting that “Square Enix did a good job in making sure the old turn-based elements from the original were implemented well.”

His favourite games are those with deep and captivating narratives: while it would take far too long to list them all, some include L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption (and its sequel), Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Last of Us, and the Uncharted series.
